Flow field Issue

Hi,
I have field in value entry table which is a flowfield but a lookup field. Now i want to check if the value of the field matches a certain value in a process report. How to calculate the value of the flowfield as the same is not a decimal field.
If i use CALCFIELDS it is giving me error.
Plz help;
