    Hi,

It should be in '\Upgtk' folder.

I guess this folder is also on mibuso.com products DVD.

If you are partner try looking at PartnerSource downloads:

    https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource ... /releases/

or ask another partner, or ask MS PM. Anyhow get another CD.

If you are a customer, ask your partner for the file.

Hi, thank you for your answer. We arenot Bus solution provider and don't have Navision Developer tool. Our solution provider refused to give us migrate.fob. Could anybody help me to obtain the module please?
or do I have only one way to solve my problem to migrate to SQLServer? That way is to purchase Navision Developer tool.
    Thank you,

    Hi,

Just to make sure you don't expect too much from migrate.fob. It is not a tool but a file to be imported during upgrade process. It is 85K in size.

Part of upgrade toolkit are other .fob files that help you migrate data. Most important parts are upgrade documentation and Navision Developers Toolkit. As far as I know this toolkit is not available to customers (it is not in the pricelist). It is not required for an upgrade but it helps a lot.

Do you have development granules in your licence? Without them you won't be able to do the upgrade yourself.

Migrating to SQL server doesn't change anything regarding the upgrade process.

It seems you have troubled relationship with your partner. If this is his fault you can ask other partner to do an upgrade. There are also an option to outsource it to India.

The easiest way is to sit down with your partner and do a little listening and talking. Then decide whether you'll work together or part your ways.

Thank you for your answer. I will be more specific in this message. I tried to backup database in Nav 2.6 and restored it into Nav 3.6. I have common general error, which is invalid date for SQL Server. As I mentioned before I was a customer and I didn't have access to many tables cust. ledger entry slaes invoice header and so on. I found many entries with invalid posting date. I have to fix it. I understood from topics that it is possible to use migrate.fob to correct invalid date. I asked provider as you recommended me. I got answer
“The Migrate.fob file is one part of the Navision Upgrade Toolkit. It’s a tool that is used by Navision Solution Centers for doing Navision upgrades. It’s not meant to be for end users. “

It seems like I have too purchase developer tool to fix small problem with invalid date. But I could be wrong. What could you recommend for me to do?
    Thank you

    I've looked at migrate.fob and w1w1upgr.pdf.

You are right about date fixing. There is support for this in it:

"Codeunit 104015 checks that every date, text, code and decimal value in the database can be stored in a SQL Server database. It also checks that nonzero decimal values will not be rounded to zero when they are stored in the SQL Server database. A progress indicator will help you monitor this process. This involves the program reading most of the records in the database and may therefore take some time."

I think you should ask for an official demo CD for Navision 3.60 which has Upgtk directory with mentioned files. If you are in the Upgrade Program, you are entitled to use 3.60 version. If not :-k

Either partner or your local MS office should send it to you.

this is funny.. as per documentation, migrate.fob should import codeunit 104015.. but it says that it should also CREATE it.. but if i try to run codeunit 104010 to CREATE C104015, it says that C104015 is not found.. well of COURSE it isnt found, you're supposed to create it, duh! what to do?!

furthermore, if i create fieldchk.txt manually and try to import it, it says i dont have permission to create C104015 - of course i dont, so why didn't you include it in migrate.fob MICROSOFT?!

Make sure you're using the proper developer's license. My guess is you're using an old developer's license without the upgrade granules.
