Hello,

I just want to record Fixed Assets basic level. i mean ....i dont want to post fixed assets cost directly into G/L nor i dont want to affect anywhere...i just want to maintain fixed assets list including following information

Date of purchase
Name of Fixed Assets
Serial no.
condition
location
Cost in USD (whereas LCY is different currency)

does this possible to do it ?..if yes how come ?

This is possible.

In Fixed Assets you can maintain asset records (where you can enter a Description(Name), Serial Number, and Location. You can then setup a Depreciation book that does not integrate to the General Ledger. You can then transact against that book using the FA Journal for Acquisition Cost.

Thanks for your response.... i tired it as well but i did nt get the report what i am looking. Do you have an idea which is the best option to generate FA list.

In NA version of NAV there are a few out of the box reports that collectively contain the information you are looking for. You may need to build a custom report to gather the information you are looking for.
