How to update Cost on Item Cards automatically for FG & WIP.

Hi All,
My Management want to update Unit Cost field in Item Card automatically for WIP and Finished Goods.
ie. Item X is a FG item and it is made by Item Y & Z
Y= 2 USD
Z= 3 USD
Manufacturing Costs = 1 USD.
Then system should update the cost of X= 6 USD automatically.
I have tried it with update item unit costs batch job but it is not working.
awaiting for replies.

Have you ran the Adjust Cost -Item Entries batch job?
