Strange Filter behaviour in Analysis by Dimension

Hi

I found a very strange behavior with the Sales Analysis of Dimension in Nav 2009 SP1. When you use the Sales Analysis of Dimension with the following filters and setup.
Analysis View Code = Any updated Analysis View.
Show as Lines = Item
Show as Columns = Period
Show Value As = Any option
Date Filter = Any date filter
Item Filter = If you use a filter like 1*..9*, and you export the data to Excel, you will only get the Item No. starting with 1 and ending with Items starting 9 with entries in the Analysis view. (In other words you will not get any items in the range without any transactions captured by the Analysis view.) This is helpful if you want to exclude Items without transactions.
If you use a filter like 1*|2*|3*|4*|5*|6*|7*|8*|9*, and you export the data to Excel, you will get Item No. starting with 1 and ending with Items starting 9 regardless if they have a Analysis view entry or not

To note:
1) Please note that this is tested on Native and SQL. It is nothing to do with the sorting or collation or database.
2) The Item filter on the Matrix form does not have the strange behavior for filters with .. . It is only on Export to Excel that you get this behavior.

Anyone knows about this behaviour?

Thank you,
