Application upgrade from 3.7 to 5.0

Hi,

I recently did an upgrade of client and server software from 3.7 to 5.0 running on Native C/SIDE database with Database login. No objects were upgraded.

One strange thing happened. When switching between companies from the File pull down menu, Nav always prompt for username and password. If the user uses Ctrl-O and choose another company, no username and password is required. Any one experienced this?

    Good morning

that is not a bug, it is a security feature change since 4.0.

If you use the Main Menu for open a client, it could be, that the client is in
a other DB, that why you have always to login.
When you use "STRG+O", you can only choose a client from the active DB
    and no login is necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply and explanation. Our users are bit frustrated at first but I told them to use the shortcut Ctrl-O to open a company and they are ok.
