Hi,
I open the Navision application. In the 'Open Database' window, when I click, Server Name, name of some of the Sql Servers are listed. Some other servers are not listed. What could be the reason?
They just aren't listed sometimes. Probably because it would have to do an entire network crawl to figure out all of the SQL Servers you have....that could take a while.
I find it easiest to just set the server name in the user's icon, that way they never have to remember it if their zup file gets corrupted.
That is what I do all the time (and not only for users but also for me to avoid I always have to manually select the DB I want to open).
Here is an example string for the shortcut you can use: finsql.exe NTAUTHENTICATION=0, NETTYPE=TCP, servername=192.168.214.5, database=CRONUS2009SP1W1, COMPANY="Cronus", ID="C:\DB\CC\ZUP\CRONUS2009SP1.zup"
