Hello Navision experts:
I have run across a new issue related to a specific user's .zup file. We are using SQL server and the user has the client installed locally (4.0 SP3).
The user makes changes (shows columns, moves columns, etc.), and the .zup file will not remember the changes. I have deleted the zup file and even de-installed and re-installed NAV. This does not help.
Has anybody experienced this before?

You might want to make sure if the user has permission to the directory where the zup file is stored.
If you tried using Administrator login, does it remember?Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Thanks for the response, Alex. It would appear that even after all these years of working with Navision, I continue to presume too much regarding my users. I decided to sit down with the user and have them show me, which I should have done to begin with. It turns out they are opening 2 versions of NAV, which is not uncommon, but that they were making .zup related changes to the second instance of the client and then saying "no" to replacing the .zup file when prompted.0
