Run On Server?

Axapta V2.5 - 3 tier
I tried to change a menu item (output) which point to a class to Run on Server but the result report is empty
However if i change the run on prop of the class to "server" the report give me correct result.
Does anyone know the different between them?(run on prop of menu item/class)
