Searching for Customer

Dear All,

I would like to re-create the same functionality which is found in the sales header. Whenever looking for a customer one can insert the name in the customer no. and Navision automatically looks for the no even though the name itself does not exist in the customer no. How could I re-create a similar situation in a new table. I have linked the field but it just lets me to insert the code and not the name.

Any idea?

Check table T18."Customer", Field 1:"No.", property AltSearchField="Search Name". This property does the trick.
I am not sure, but I think the field "Search Name" must be of type Code, but may be longer than field 1:"No.".
