Bulk E-mail Solution

NAV doesn't seem to have a bulk email feature to send out customer statements, invoices etc. What it has only allows sending out a single document at a time using default mail client e.g outook.
Kindly let me know of any compatible bulk emailing solutions/addons for NAV (I'm using version 3.6 (3.7.B) with Incadea).

Thanks.

Theres a few different solutions - Altus has a simple Fax and Email product available (http://www.altusbusinesssolutions.com/) for many versions of NAV. I think there are some very advanced solutions by Zeta Docs and Expand IT.

Also if you're just trying to send SMTP messages there are some components that are available with the NAV 5.0 client which you could probably bolt on to an older implementation of NAV. This is implemented in CDU 400 SMTP Mail. It's fairly light weight and can provide a simple base to start building out some Email Functionality.

Thank you Landeen for your feedback. I will have a look at the solutions (have already dowloaded trial versions) and see which fits best.

Good luck with this - emailing out of NAV can add quite a bit of functionality to NAV processes.

I also think it's cheaper and easier to either build your own solution or go with one of the off the shelf ones (like I suggested earlier). The other base NAV options used to be biztalk or business notifications which was very cumbersome to implement (not sure how widely their used or supported).

Does anyone here use Altus? We are in NAV2009 SP1, RTC terminal server scenario and having a little problem getting altus to work thru the terminal server. I have the NAV client locally on my machine and it works just fine.

Stuff like this is not necessary anymore with codeunit 400. Look at the post from Rashed Amini about converting reports to PDF and using the codeunit send out e-mail.
