Inventory value zero in return reason code (NAV2009)

Hi all

Any body can help me explain inventory value zero checkbox in return reson code? What reason is it used for ?

I bought item A to my customer.Then my customer return item A for repair reason. I selected checkbox inventory value zero in return reason code.However I see return transactions affect the inventory and cost account of item A. I don't know why. I wonder if can you give me another solution how to not affect the inventory and cost account when I have return transaction (sales return, purchase return) for repair or damage reason?
