SAVEASPDF loses barcodes

We have a report that contains bar codes. When run and previewed, the barcodes are there. But when we save as a pdf using Report.SAVEASPDF, the barcodes are not in the PDF. The barcode font appears in the list of embedded fonts for the PDF, but no barcode.

Did you buy the barcode font?
Despite the dubious validity of many font copyrights it's likely that SAVEASPDF would obey them.
Also for SAVEASPDF I think the font has to exist on the server because the PDF is rendered there whereas printouts are rendered on the client. Of course you need to be sure that copyright license lets you put the font on the server ...Robert de Bath
