navision style sheet constant value problem

I have a linked table I am using with the style sheet tool version 2 in NAV 2009 classic client.
Linking field to field between header and detail work fine.
When I try to exclude some of the detail lines based upon an option value, it excludes everything. I have tried both using the number and the option value without success.
I experimented by using a text field instead and it works.
Is this just a limitation of how Navision implemented the Word merge interface, or is there a way to get this to work with an integer field (like an option)?
