Service Ledger entry doest not exist?

Greetings,
I created a non Prepaid Service contract with service starting from 01/05/10(1st May). I set my workdate to 01/05/10 and when i tried to create a service invoice i got an Error- Service ledger Entry XXX does not exist.
Service period = 1y-1D,Invoice Period = Monthly.
Why i cannot create a invoice on the first day of service Contract.
