I've been involved with one, although I don't think they were 'pure' Kan Ban. What we did is add a Kan Ban Bin table off of the Stockkeeping Unit, and developed Kan Ban replenishment around it. Nothing fancy, but a way for users to easily create production orders, purchase orders or transfer orders (depending on Item set up) for a 'Kan Ban quantity' by clicking just one button.
We did not incorporate this into the warehouse functionality, since our customer didn't use it. We also did not incorporate movements between kan ban bins, they only kept inventory in their system by Location.
Dear all,
I am very happy with this forum and thanks to the webmaster. I have found what I am looking for about kanban and navision.
I would like to ask about JIT functionality in Navision for example Routing LEan Code (RLC), Send-Ahead functionality and safety stock. Are they the answers from navision for kanban system ? There are 3 kanbans, production kanban, withdrawal kanban and signal kanban. May I state that navision provides send-ahead, RLC and safety stock functionality as a mean for these kanban application ? Please let me know. I appreciate so must for your answers.
