Temporary Table

Hello....
I want to have one form type card that only accepts one record with a temporary record.
Example:
temp record - gen. journal Line

when i open the form it creates a new record but i want that the user can't create a new record with the key f3.
It is possible?

But then i can't insert any record and that's not my objective.
My objective is to insert only one record

You could write code in the OnInsert-trigger of your table, to display an error-message when Rec.COUNT = 1. This way, no more than 1 record can be created.
