Items Classification - ABC Analysis in NAV

How is the items classification using ABC analysis applied in NAV?
Is there a periodic batch job or the user has to manually key in for each item?
Or is there a report run to see the dollar usage of items and then manually assign classification code to each item?

What is the logic applied to perform this classification?

ABC classification isn't standard in NAV. You have to develop this yourself or look for an addon that has this function.
