FIELDGROUPS & Developers Toolkit NAV 2009 SP1

Hi,

I've done a merge with Developers Toolkit v3.01.410, upgraded to NAV 2009 SP1. When exporting the new version I see that all FIELDGROUP attributes seem te be offset by 1 to the next object. If I delete the section, the import runs a little further, right up to the next filedgroups section.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I can delete all the fieldgroup sections of course but that will be quite a job. Any ideas on getting a file without fieldgroup sections?

BTW What do fieldgroups do anyway? I cannot seem to find any info on that.

FIELDGROUPS are supposed to be a way of fiddling with the order and grouping of fields on pages (at least that's what they are outside NAV) but for Nav they just let you say which lookup fields should be shown as dropdowns instead (in the RTC).

Basically it's just used as a silly way of adding a boolean property to the field definition.

A search and delete for lines with "1 ;DropDown ;" will get them (there are 102 lines in 6sp1) if you don't need them. Though you probably will want them later.
