Local User Account for NAS?

Hi,

I have a server named Server2, both DB & NAS installed on it.
I want to start NAS using a Local User account - NAS_USER.
A local user NAS_USER is added to Server2, Server2\NAS_USER is added to Database. However, this account cannot be added to NAV.

When i try to add it as a Database Account - i get

"The SQL Server login NAS_USER does not exist on the Server2 server."
or
"The SQL Server login Server2\NAS_USER does not exist on the Server2 server."

Yes, because its a local windows account.

When I try to add it as Windows Account - i get

"Unknows Windows User"

Because it is not AD authenticated.

Is there some workaround, or using an AD authenticated Service Account is the only way?

Thanks,

Amol

Is this the first windows user in nav on that server?
Have you installed that stored procedures for mixed authentification?

I even installed NAS on one server and SQL server on another one. There was no AD because of it was a novell network, so I just created two local window logins that had exactly the same notation. It worked like a charm.
