hardware requirement

Hello, master Navision

My client ask for hardware requirement in server and client for Navision 3.70. Where I can get it? Maybe Minimum requirement for server and for client too ( how big of memory, processor,harddisk,operating system,or something else?)

AFAIK there is no dedicatet recommendation for Navision 3.70.
But if you use the native Navision database, you don't need a real power machine. I run Navision on a 800 MHz Server, which is still sufficient for doing a lot more above standard.

A typical environment for about 10 to 20 users would be:
2,5 GHz Processor
512 MB Memory
Mirrored SCSI-Harddisk (you should not use a RAID5 array)
Windows 2000 Server

This assumes that you are not running other services on the server (especially no SQL-Server). My experience is that the server speed makes less then 50% of the overall speed. You will have more benefit if you give more memory for the workstations and add this to the dbms cache.
