Combine report with Posted Invoices?

Do you think it would be possible to combine a report and add the corresponding Posted Invoices into one?
I have a Sales Report, "Daily Invoicing by Salesperson". I run that with the previous week's date and a Salesperson Code. It spits out a report for me which shows all the sales that week for that Salesperson along with any Credit Memos. It's usually one or two pages and I print to PDF file.
I then have to go to Posted Invoices and enter the information as above to get it to print out the actual invoices to PDF.
I then E-Mail them to the Salesperson. Repeat process for the other Salespeople.
I was thinking it'd be great to somehow combine the two tasks into one for me..

Assuming that you are entering the salesperson code on the invoice, this takes a little bit of work, but is not too difficult to build. You can use a variety of print-to-PDF products. One of them mentioned a number of times out here is Bullzip, which is free. Read this link from Rashed, one of MIBUSO's most frequent contributors:
http://mibuso.com/blogs/ara3n/2008/08/0 ... ts-to-pdf/
What you would do is set up a report that loops through each one of the posted sales invoices, printing each one to PDF.
If you want to automatically email it, you'll have to use another product, such as Jmail, also mentioned on MIBUSO a number of times. Another product I consider excellent is ANSMTP, which is a commercial product, but not too expensive and very good support (www.emailarchitect.net).
After you create the PDF, you would make a call to jmail or ANSMTP and email it to the salesperson.
I hope this gets you on the right track.Ron0 -
Thanks for the information!! Bullzip is great. I was using CutePDF, but this has a lot more features.
I love the Append feature and ability to output to other formats.0 -
basically what I read earlier is that you want to send salespeople emails of invoices.
So simply I would goto Posted Invoices Print using a date range on the Posting Date and setting ht salesperson filter print to a pdf printer, blah blah.
But It appears you really want somekind of summary or grand total of what these invoices total upto.
Does the salesperson need an exact copy of the invoice? if not you can really create a new report that just gives them what they need in a smaller tighter report.0 -
We email the Salesperson two things on a weekly basis.. 1 - Summary of all their invoices for that week and 2 - The actual invoices.0
