Multiple currencies , one bank acount

I have a clinet who would like to be able to key in their AP invoices in one currency (peruvian soles) and pay them from a bank account that is setup in another currency (USD). The check would print in dollars, at the current exchange rate.

It seems to me this is not possible.

Am I correct, or did I setup something wrong?

This is possible but you'll have to include your payments with two lines in your general journal, one canceling in AP invoice in LCY, the second line affecting the bank account in USD.
