Does anyone know how you can start a Navision client without being logged on to Windows NT. Using Application Server is not an option.

Can you give us some more info on the setup you require?

It depends on what you mean by "logged on" to the NT server. The user does NOT (I am pretty sure) need to be able to see any directories on the NT which is running the Navision server. In fact, it's better if he or she can NOT see any shared directories on that particular NT (since this prevents him or her from deleting needed files, copying the database to a ZIP disk and FedExing it to your company's mosted hated competitor, running the DB in standalone mode and locking out the other users, etc.)

The NT does need to be on the same network as all the client machines, but there is no need for users to log on the NT itself. They do have to log on to the Navision server, but that's true even if they are logged on to the computer itself...

You dont need to be logged onto any network if the database is using database authentication on SQL or native, and TCPIP is more reliable, faster and system independant than Netbios.
