Hello!
We have problems with Items witch are using BOM.
Procedure:
1.step : We make Purchase - Receipt for 2 new Materials. Materials "Unit Cost" = 0;
2.step : Then we make BOM for new Product with these two Materials. "Unit Cost" for Product is 0.
3. step : Then we post BOM journal. "Unit Cost" for Materials and Product is 0.
4. step : Then we post Purchase - Invoice for all Materials with "Unit Cost" 100 for each Material.
5. step : Then we run Periodic Activities: "Adjust Cost - &Item Entries" and "Post Inventory Cost to G/L".
6. step : "Unit Cost" for Material is 100 and "Unit Cost" for Product is 0.
Microsoft Business Solutions Support answerd:
You write the way Navision works with BOM costs.
"Adjust Costs" jobs doesn't recalculating production costs. You can read about it in Navision 3.70 Training Material, part Essentials on page 5-22 is Note about it. If you want to have real cost, you can do like is descripted in online help: BOM Calculating Unit costs. BOM Journal is created for manage units, but not for costs managing. If you need costs managing you must use Navision Manufacturing granules. Also you can change unit costs after posting BOM, use "Revaluation Journal".

The BOM Journal is not for production BOMs but for assembly lists. If you want to revaluate your Items based on your production BOMs then you need to run 'Calc. Standard Cost' from the Item Card for each Item individually, or run the Standard Cost worksheet from the Inventory Periodic Activities.0
