Query about the cycle count logic

I am working with a customer whose accounting year that starts in April. However, I found that the Phys. Invt Counting Period logic works only by calendar year.

I find it strange that the program does not allow the Next Counting Period logic to follow by the Financial year or another calendar. This makes it slightly difficult to track when the item was put on a current financial year cycle count or the next financial cycle count. I am currently tracking this by change log.

Does anyone have an issue with the Next counting Period following Calendar year? I have already figured out how the codeunit 7380 can be modified.
