Record Locking

Hi. We're using Navision 4.0 SP3. We have lots of table locking and usually when posting transactions. I've heard that upgrading to 2009 executable would help alleviate some of that. Do you guys have any information/experience on this. We're upgrading to 2009 but we are in the very early stages. Please let me know. Thanks.

IN most cases the problems is in not optimized SQL DB. If you look at this form into SQL section, you will find many posts about optimization. NAV is not "optimized" by default, because every company is using it differently. After go live, there should be optimization phase, where someone, who understand how to optimize NAV for SQL and how to maintain SQL db for NAV must look at the DB and do the work.
