How change Item into Fixed Asset

I would like to change Item into Fixed Asset,how is it possible?

Not available as standard feature. You need to either customize or do a negative adjustment of Item and acquisitioin through FA G/L Journal. To link these 2 transaction you can use same document number.

We ar using Nav 5.0, so I will do negative adjustment for this item and then what I have to do?create Fixed Asset and purchase it?

Use FA G/L Journal to post the acquisition entry (no need of using Purchase Invoice) and credit the account of inventory adjustment.
