Change data capture

Has anyone used the SQL Server 2008 Change Data Capture feature to track changes to values in records?
The client where I work the most currently uses Lanham's History for that purpose. That works fine, but we are at the point of needing to add more history tables to the license or doing something else.
Since the client is using SQL Server 2008, and that feature is built-in, I was wondering about using it.
I realise that I would have to create forms to access the data.
I am interested in whether anyone has experience with this.
