Planning Worksheet not calculating

Hi,

I have a simple Production Forecast (there are no sales Orders) for an item with 1000nos/month from March2010 to Dec 2010. Settings on item card - Planning are:
Reordering Policy: Lot-for-Lot
Inventory not included
Reserve:Optional
Order Tracking Policy: Tracking & Action Msg.
Safety Lead time: 1W

When i use Planning Worksheet to calculate MPS for this item with Dates 05/01/10 to 06/01/10, with forecast pointing to my forecast of 1000nos/month - nothing gets calculated. Surely I am missing something and no errors so not able to locate the problem. Please help!

what do you have on the replenishment tab. You need to set it to be a production item and make to stock I believe, although I don't use manufacturing myself.

What is your component at location setting?

    Hi,

    Component at Location is Empty.
Use Forecast at Location is empty as well.

    Thanks

Componenet at location should not be empty, you should fill with location code.

Component at Location must be populated with your MAIN warehouse, and really your forecast should. NAV will ignore elements in planning until they are.
