Record shipment tracking details

How to add a feature in warehouse shipment to allow recording shipment tracking details like AWB no, container, tracking no etc? This will be triggered by 'create whse. receipt' function. There is no many field to record shipment details. This can be also looked as a notification document to inter company. How to automate it?
Is it required to create additional form/table? Can it be recorded in the warehouse shipment header/line?
