Export to Excel from Account Schedule Overview

Issue…
The Export to Excel functionality in the GL Account Schedule Overview is very, very slow on one of my client's workstations. Other client sites have the normal drop-off associated with client vs server comparison, but this site takes 15 minutes to export to excel from Account Schedule Overview.
Current Work-around…
Client uses remote desktop to server to perform this Export to Excel function.
But their IT staff is complaining about lack of controls, etc…
Question…
Has anyone such a large difference in performance when using Export to Excel functionality?
Or have any recommendations on how to improve performance?
Environment…
Client PC: Server
OS XP Pro – SP2 Small Business Server 2003 – 5.2 build 3790 SP1
MS Office 2007 2002 (10.2614.2685)
RAM 3 mg 4 mg
NAV version 5.0 SP1 Build 26084
Object
Cache 64000 32000
Tests…
I performed a Print Preview and an Export to Excel operation on the following NAV reports and the Account Schedule Overview on both the Client PC and the NAV Server environment.
I also traced the network flow by testing the ping of the network and did not notice any degradation of performance.
