Work In Progress is needed in Inventory Posting Setup

Hi,
When we are trying to Post Consumption Journal for a Released Production Order NAV is asking for WIP account for a Raw Material. Where in the setup can we deactivate it the need for WIP account?

    You can't deactivate the need of WIP account.

    thanks for your answer,but why is asking it from last friday and not from the start of the production orders?

    First understand the Business Process and System (Navision) .Did your client agree to deactive the WIP Account ?

    If you have the Manufactuirng module then you have maintain Three Inventory accounts

    1)RawMaterialInventoryAccount
    2)Work-in-Progress(WIP)InventoryAccount
    3) Finished Goods Inventory Account

    When raw material is purchased, the cost of the raw material will be posted to the Raw Material Inventory acccount.
    . When Raw Material consumed then Rawmaterial Intentory Account will get credit and WIP Inventory Account will get Debit.

    Now here if you run the report Inventory valuation – WIP , you can get the consumtion material Value .
