If your client build no. is bigger than 25143, you do not need any update to have working NAV under win 7. Of course, best is to have newest build installed. List of existing builds and connected KBs (from which you can request the hotfix) can be found e.g. on Waldo's blog.

Other option is to do a technical upgrade of the client if issues still persist.
There are erros in the text conversion (text no. 146-100 does not exist in the .stx file). Internal error: 47-1.
Any views on how I can solve this one?

Did you apply the latest patch then get this error?
from what i read and recall perhaps you didn't copy over the new fin.stx file to the client folder correctly?
