Hi Experts!!

I had linked some of the files for each customer on the customer card. When i did backup and restored the same, that time when open the customer card and if i go to view the link there was no linked saved. That means i feel so those links doesnt get save. So what is the use of it.

Can anyone tel me. Or is there something that i have to do to save it.

Hello,

"Links" is only store the Path/URL of the Document/other records in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Websites in "Record Link" table in NAV.

if you want to store your document in NAV Database then use BLOB variable.

I know its just saying the path of the documents what I have attached but does it get stored when we backup. Because when i restored it. Everything was deleted.

Hi,

The record link is set as "Data per Company" = No which means you need to do a full backup/restore including Data common to all companies.
