upgrading bank reconciliation from NAV 2.6 or 2.0 to 2009

I am upgrading a NAV 2.6 release to 2009.
The bank reconciliation tables are showing version 2.0 from 1998.
There are no posted bank rec. tables and the 2.6 conversion does not address moving data.

Is there an earlier upgrade that created them or some procedure I need to run?
The new bank statements use the Posted Bank Rec. Header and Line.
The old version uses the bank account statement tables and the posted bank rec. tables do not exist.

I have been looking at old versions and it looks like the current Bank Rec. tables were added in 3.6, but I don't see a conversion in the upgrade codeunits to create them.
The old versions used the bank account statement and line.
Was the old history meant to be lost, or is there a conversion program I am missing, or am I meant to write my own?
It looks like I can reconcile each statement manually - but this is a lot of work for 150 bank accounts over 8 years.
