Hi guys,
We created a simple table that allows having persistent Account Schedules results stored physically. This was made for SSRS in Sharepoint. This is a temporary, before our customer upgrades from Nav 4 to Nav 2009.
My problem is about Windows access rights to this data for the reporting system
I know Nav authentication with SQL goes through 2 steps:
- identifying to the server : windows access through ad user or group
- accessing the data into the database through Navision Security (enhanced mode) & so, through application roles.
Would you know how we could "map" their access to only allow authenticated users in Nav to access this table, from Sharepoint?
Maybe a specific application role mapped to these users? Won't Navision delete this app role next time we will synchronize security?
Thanks in advance for your enlightened comments and advices
