SQL server doubt

Hi,
I need a clarification regarding SQL Server along with Navision. The client require some information.
1) In the year of 2005 he had purchased the SQL server Enterprise edition , in that server VB application is installed and it contains 250 tables
2) In the year of 2007 he have purchased the MS NAV and installed in the server. In NAV database it contains 250 tables, Now totally in SQL server it will have 500 tables ,is it there will be any license issue problem in the SQL server side or we can create a enormous tables.
3) In the year of 2012 , he have the .NET technology whether he could be able to access the VB and NAV databases which is in the SQL server????
Which SQL server edition is best suitable????
when client is purchasing NAV is it there any SQL server is available which works only for NAV????
