BOM Journal and Sale Invoice

Hi all,

Is it possible to post the BOM journal with same item and qty when we post sale invoice, so user does not require to post "BOM journal" explicitly and get rid of extra entry.

Yes it is possible with customization but the process does not seems to be the correct one. Why would you like something like this? This will never give you the correct inventory in system when compared to actual/physical inventory.

I wanted to do this bcoz the client dont want to use BOM journal, What they are saying is "If we sell the item then it should automatically decrease from the inventory!!"

we know this is not a good practise, but its the client requirement.

Selling automatically reduces the qty of the item on the sales line but what you are asking is that it should use BOM journal to produce the items on the sales line and consume the BOM items. This is not sounding good. What will happen if one or more BOM comsumption items have less inventory than required?

In case you still wanna do it then ask your technical to automate the creation of BOM journal at the time of posting of sales invoice and post the BOM journal first and then proceed to post the sales invoice.
