Server Not Found Error While Opening 2009 RTC

Hi all,

I am getting a error "Server Not Found" at Net.[url=TCP://localhost:7046/DB/Service]TCP://localhost:7046/DB/Service[/url]. when i try to open the nav 2009 RTC.
If anybody knows the reason for this error, Kindly give me suggestion on how to overcome this error.

    Is your server running? Otherwise, restart your Dynamics NAV server and look in the eventlog - it should state if your server is running.

    Hi dr75,

    The server is running but still i cannot open the NAV 2009 RTC.

    is there any other solution, Kindly suggest?

    If your server is running, please make sure the URL to the server is correct.

    I assume you are running both client and server from the same machine, so firewall should not be the issue here. Does the eventlog give any other information?
