Would it be possible to create a batch file that would synch the NAV outlook client for you by running the batch file?

which version of NAV are running? In 5.0 they totally rewritten the sync process.
The sync is called from Outlook and not from NAVISION.

5.0 SP1. The issue is that we have about 30 sales people on the road that never get in the office to synch. We haven't found a server-side synching option so we were looking at trying to automate this in any way.

There are several things I would try.

    1. I would try and get a sales person to log in to RDP and sync with outlook that is on RDP Server. The changes will be at the Exchange Server. Then when they connect their local outlook to exchange server, the changes will be synched with local outlook.

    2. Ask them to connect to your company VPN and then sync.

    3. Setup your firewall the direct the port to your NAS box so that users from outside of your network can connect to the NAS.

    4. Upgrade to 2009 and use webservice to sync instead, and this still require firewall change VPN to sync.
