Items Entered By Barcode Scanner or Manually

Hi All,

I need to track in Sales lines & Purchase Lines whether lines entered by Manual Keyboard or its scanned by Barcode. Is there any way to track this? Please advise.

If you are using wedge scaners that act like keyboard. The only way to do it is to have the barcode being different than Item No.

on sales line have a barcode field where the user can scan the barcode.

Users can probably manually type the barcode, but that's extra work which like won't happen.

If it's not a wedge scanner, then you are looking at COM/OPOS and I suggest to look at LS Retail and how they do it.
