Adjust cost item entries - never ending

Hi all
We are using NAV 5.0 SP1. While running the Adjust cost Item entries batch job for one Item it never completes the cycle.
The Item uses Average costing method.
We found that there are lot many Finished Production orders for that Item which uses the same item as component,hence that could be a cause for this problem.
Kindly suggest us to overcome this problem ASAP.
