If we drill down the field "Inventory" at the General Tab in Item Card, then we can see that there is a field / coloum call " OPEN "
The question is what does it mean when there is a tick mark in that coloum and what does it mean when there is no tick mark in that coloum ?

Thanks for the coorporation

Navision is dealing the inventory entries the same way it deals with client entries. For client, Navision allows the user to link an invoice with the payment. The same way with inventory entries, Navision is building links between inventory input and inventory output (the links can be set manually but Navision can deal with it for you). So "open" for an input means that all the goods that entered the stock are not linked with inventory outputs : the field "unaffected quantity" represents the quantity of goods that is not linked that way.
Hope my answer can be understood (I'm working on a french database). I think the online help may help you.

Open is set to False when there is no Remaining Quantity left on the Item Ledger Line.

If you want to se where the Items went you look at the Item Applications form.
