inventory on item card not tally

Hi All,
good morning.....
I have a problem: on the item card inventory qty are not tally (and sometime negative) with the actual detail transaction in the item ledger entry. There are a lot of items qty like this and our warehouse getting headache ](*,) everyday because the production planner getting wrong figure of stock qty. When we breakdown the inventory qty and paste the data to excel, then calculate manually, the qty was not tally the what appears on item card.

due to our consultant, this is because of the indexing on sql server, is it true?
How to fix it? Is it the bug of Navision?
we're using Nav4.0 sp3 and SQL2005 server.

Kindly share your experience, thanks.

rgds,
Ray

If a flowfield does not match the total of the corresponding table entries then your SIFTs are corrupt.
A flowfield reads data from the SIFT table, not from the base table.

You are probably running a NAV build which has a bug in the SQL trigger which creates the SIFT entries. To fix this ONCE go into the item ledger entries and disbale all "Maintain SIFT" in all Keys and save the object. In a second step enable them again. Depending on the number of records in your table this might take a while.

Thios topic has been discussed in the Forum several times. Please use the search function.

To fix this once and for all you will need to update the Exe to a newer version. For a list of available build take a look here:
