Fixed Assets Disposal

Hi!

One of our clients has asked us whether Nav can automatically reverse the Depreciation postings for the year when the disposal is done.

e.g. - item is bought in 2007, having Depreciation of Eur 1,200 every year. They have ran the depreciation up to Nov 2009 and want to dispose the item in Dec 2009. Since in 2009 they have already posted depreciation from Jan to Nov of Eur 1,100, they want to first reverse the Eur 1,100 then post the disposal.

This can be done manually using the Cancel entries, but the client said that this is a normal accounting standard and expect Nav to do this.

Does anyone know how this can be done in Nav?

thanks
Dave

    standard navision does not support.

it required customization to get the functionality what you need.

    1) It is funny to have a system to handle.
    2) Disposal of the FA is Dec 2009, depreciation done for Jan thru Nov, what's wrong with that? User meant as long they sell the FA within that year, the entire year shouldn't have any depreciation for that assets?

The user's accounting concept is wrong.
