Relation of Record link data to other Documents

One of the users creating an SO accidentally click the Link button and typed characters.

On the same day, 3 of the users reported the message below while doing their daily posting routine (for Sales and Purchase) and previously there was no issue.

"You do not have permission to read the Record Link table"

Why a record link data stops other users from posting their documents (Sales and Purchase Invoice) which do not have any connection to the record link data?

Note that the 2 different users creating the invoice for Sales and Purchase encountered the same message on the same day.

Thanks.

Probably because of a check in the code to move the link in the open document to the posted document if one exists, that is just a guess though. If you open up the Links window, even though there is no next, see if there is an asterisk on the top line- if not, delete it. Only when an asterisk is in the gray line divider is the record considered truly 'empty' in Nav. Another option if this continues is to give the users permission to access the links table, it isn't really that big of a permission issue.

I have the same issue. As a SU (super user) I could finish the post process for order and sell. As a POS (point of sales user) I receive the message "You do not have permission to read the Record Link table". I already set permissions to all adding 2000000068 Record Link Table Data to Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and it still appears.

After I read your post, the situation here is very similar. Normally the users could post without this message but suddenly they started to have it.

Did you find any useful information?

    Hi,

It's the NAV way... as soon as you have data in a table it will require user permission. I guess any card form checks the record links table to be able to update the "link exist" flag on the status bar.
