NAS Debug Licence File

dkonedkone Member Posts: 59
Hi all,

I'm trying to run NAS with debug mode . I put my developer licence file in the nas folder and when i run my nas (with a .bat file) i have this message (i removed cronus lic file) :

- 16:36:16: The operating system cannot find the file C:\<NAS Directory>\CRONUS.FLF .

It seems that NAS didn't use my licence file.

Shoud I add a parameter in my batch file ? I found nothing about this in the forum or in w1w1atas.pdf

Regards,

dkone.

and is your license file named fin.flf? Aren't you using Vista or Win7? If yes, if you have copied the file into some folder doesn't necessarily mean that it is there (mainly when copying by some application, which is not compatible with Vista and Win7 and you are copying the file into protected folder like application folders...).

    Many thanks for your reply.

I renamed my licence file fin.flf (and removed previous fin.flf)
Now, i have this message :
    - 10:38:26: Your program license does not permit more users to work simultaneous

I have a developper licence. Is it the normal behavior ?

yes, it is, but all depends on on your license (how many licensed sessions you have in it for users and for application server), how many NASes and users are connected etc...

    You never know... :-)

    ... up this, sorry.

The txt file of my licence indicates that (not in flf directly in Dynamics nav) :

    Maximum No. of Sessions
    Total....................: 1,020
    Any......................: 20
    Application Server.......: 1,000

It seems that i have the right licence, so i don't understand why NAS is saying that i can't do this when there are other sessions (Other active sessions don't use this licence).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Question is, if the NAS is not using the server license first...

I left this problem during 2 days.

I came back, and started from a new Nas folder. Like u said I put my (renamed as fin.flf) licence file in the Nas Folder and it works fine now !
    I didn't know why it wasn't working before ! ](*,)

    Thank you Kine.

Often just rebooting the computer starting from scratch you get it right. Often just getting away from the problem and coming back to it with a clear head solves it.
