Service Management Contract Question

Can someone provide me a real life example (or 2) of when you would want to select the "Allow Unbalanced Amounts" Boolean on the 'Invoice Details' header of a contract?
Basically, that would turn off the automatic updating of the "Annual Amount" field, forcing users to do it manually.
When and why would you ever want to do this?
Thanks :-)

That boolean is part of the base original journals, and the feature exists for things like cash receipts and posting beginning balances. Like most things in Navision, base functionality in standard forms, journals, and tables are copied directly over as new functionality was added. The existence of the field does not necessarily mean that there is a situation where it would apply under contracts.0
