Hi guys what is the best way according to your experience to import huge data information into Nav tables?
DataPort?
Data Migration ( importing Excel or XML files)?
or using SQL Integration Services?
I know that the first two have Validation.
And what about SQL Integration Services?
Best Regards.

Do a one time conversion of masterdata or write a highavailability interface.
For complex you can use dataport.

I was thinking make queries from another datbase source and retrieve that query into Ecel and then make the conversions on dataport.
What you think?
Personally, I use dataports for all data conversions.

Customer List
Vendor List
Item List

etc.
It get's more complex when you need transactional data, ie/ledger entries, etc.

What is TAB over comma?
sorry i´m newbie.
123344 RubberCap 1.20 36
instead
Item No Description Unit Price Qty in Hand
123344;RubberCap;1.20;36
right?
Where you make the data conversion? On the dataport or via Excel?
TEXT (Tab Delimited)
CSV (Comma Delimited)
I like tab because sometimes Descriptions, Names & Numbers can have Commas which can somtimes be a headache. It's your call. Just my personal preference
